Fungi Without Borders – Species Lookup Database

The Canadian Collection of Fungal Cultures (DAOMC) – the largest collection of its kind in Canada and acts as a repository and distributor of fungal genetic resources for national and international researchers. The DAOMC maintains over 20,000 living fungal cultures, encompassing approximately 4,000 species and 600 ex-type strains.

MycoAsia – Founded in 2019 by eminent mycologists from Asia, MycoAsia is a respected international online open-access peer-reviewed journal, specializing in mycology (e-ISSN: 2582-7278). We provide a pivotal platform for the propagation of knowledge and advancements in mycology, with a distinctive emphasis on Asia. Asian Journal of Mycology (AJOM) – (ISSN 2651-1339) – the official journal of the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research, Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand, is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal. The primary focus of this journal is to publish a wide range of high-quality articles in mycology and lichenology, specifically from Asia, but not exclusively.

Mycosystema – an international journal publishing original research papers on mycology and open to all scientists. The journal is published monthly under the co-auspices of Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Mycological Society of China. With development of Mycology science, the journal has been renamed twice. From 1982 to 1996, the Chinese title of was Zhen Jun Xue Bao and English title was Acta Mycologica Sinica, and ISSN No. 0256-1883. From 1997 to 2003, the Chinese title was Jun Wu Xi Tong and English title was Mycosystema, and ISSN No. 1007-3515. And from 2004 till now, Chinese title of journal is Jun Wu Xue Bao and English title is Mycosystema, and ISSN No. 1672-6472.

Current Research in Environmental & Applied Mycology (Journal of Fungal Biology) – Also known as CREAM journal – is an international peer-reviewed journal with swift publication. This includes reviews of research advances and methodology and articles in applied and environmental mycology. Current Research in Environmental & Applied Mycology has no page charges or open access charges and offers a free outlet for the publications of the mycology community.  All manuscripts will undergo peer review before acceptance. Copyright is retained by the authors.

Mycoscience – Published by The Mycological Society of Japan – An Open Access journal dedicated to the Myco Sciences.

Journal of Mycology – Hindawi – 2013 – 2017 – An open access publication from Hindawi founded in Cairo Egypt in 1997. This journal of Mycology has a few articles, and as of 2017 stopped publishing and stopped accepting new articles.

Mycopathologia – a Hybrid international, peer-reviewed journal focused on important developments concerning medically important fungi and fungal diseases.

Mycosphere – an international peer-reviewed journal with swift publication of high-quality papers on fungal biology.  Mycosphere is open access and offers an outlet for the publications of the mycology community.  All manuscripts will undergo peer review before acceptance. Copyright is retained by the authors.

Mycorrhiza – an international journal devoted to research into mycorrhizas – the widest symbioses in nature, involving plants and a range of soil fungi world-wide. The journal covers research into mycorrhizas, including molecular biology of the plants and fungi, fungal systematics, development and structure of mycorrhizas, and effects on plant physiology, productivity, reproduction and disease resistance. Coverage extends to interactions between mycorrhizal fungi and other soil organisms, and effects of mycorrhizas on plant biodiversity and ecosystem structure.

The Mycorrhiza Network – publishes, since 1988, a newsletter on a quarterly basis to provide a forum for dissemination, acquisition, interaction, and communication of scientific information on mycorrhizal research and activities. So far, it has published 350 peer reviewed papers/research findings from eminent scientist covering the biological, ecological, and other related aspects of mycorrhiza, including biodiversity and conservation. Other components of the newsletter include notes on important breakthroughs, brief accounts of new approaches and techniques, research activities highlighting the Centre for Mycorrhiza Culture Collection, forthcoming events on mycorrhiza and related events, and important references of research papers published in different national and international journals. Journal of Bacteriology & Mycology Open access (JBMOA) (eISSN: 2469 – 2786) – a multi-disciplinary open access peer-reviewed journal presenting novel research about bacteriology and mycology. Mycology is the branch of biology that deals with the study of fungi. Studies in Mycology – An Open Access international journal which publishes systematic monographs of filamentous fungi and yeasts, and special topical issues related to all fields of mycology, biotechnology, ecology, molecular biology, pathology and systematics. The journal is Open-Access and contains monographs or topical issues (5–6 papers per issue). IMA Fungus -BMC – founded in 2010, is the flagship journal of the International Mycological Association (IMA).
